Celebrating Community Champions

What is Celebrating Community Champions?

A community champion is anyone who works hard and well to start and/or support an initiative or intervention, to bring a program or idea to reality, or to otherwise improve the quality of life of a particular group or of the community as a whole.

Celebrating Community Champions is our new Outreach ministry.

We are looking to the people around us and sharing their love of Christ as they serve and connect with our community.

Join September 4 at 10am

Magdalene Nebraska

The Rev. Deacon Teresa Houser

“An Omaha native, Teresa brings over thirty years of non-profit and community service to this position, including over twenty years of experience in addictions recovery programs and in working with survivors of prostitution and sex trafficking. In 2014, she founded the Friends of Tamar, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence in all its forms, including rape, domestic violence, and trafficking. It was from this work that efforts to establish Magdalene Omaha began. Teresa has led the organization since our founding in 2016.”
